Following a career as a pilot in the RAAF and the Sultan of Oman’s Air Force, which included three years of war service, John Prowse spent six years owning and managing businesses in the travel and entertainment industries in Europe. On his return to Australia in 1983, he entered the financial services industry with AMP, where his experience covered sales management, strategic planning, market segment management and national management of adviser recruiting, training and computer support.

After a short stint with Sovereign Assurance, a life office based in New Zealand, working on the feasibility of establishing a new insurance operation in Australia, he joined Legal & General as Manager Adviser Support and Compliance. In August 1998, John became General Manager of Integratec, which was subsequently acquired by a listed public company, now named Tribeca. As Chief Operating Officer, John was responsible for all Tribeca’s business operations. Tribeca provides financial services advisers with training courses delivered in the classroom or by distance education, Financial Planning and SMSF guides, video-based and on-line continuing education, industry conferences and assessment and technical services.

John lives at Epping with his wife Heather, and has two adult children, Christopher and Nicholas.

Following a successful career in Sales Management at AMP, Gavin established a Financial Planning Practice which was consistently ranked amongst AMP Financial Planning’s leading advisory businesses. Following the sale of that business he held a number of management positions within the Financial Services industry prior to joining with John Prowse to form Financial Shoebox as a Shareholder and Director. Gavin is responsible for Sales and Business development.

Gavin holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Accounting from UNSW, and he has completed a Diploma of Financial Planning.

Gavin is committed to offering independent investors a ‘state of the art’ administration service on a low cost flat fee basis.

Gavin lives in the Sydney suburb of Birchgrove with his wife Meredith. They have three school aged children, Bridget, Emily and Charlie.
